Terms of use
Last updated 10 October 2026
1. Who you are agreeing with
Voicemo is provided by Lab 37, Entrepreneur individuel, operated by William BRISA, registered in France under SIREN 988 777 744, at 87 Rte de Marcieux, 73470 Novalaise, France, +34 614 946 842. Using the app or this site means these terms apply to you. If you do not accept them, do not sign in.
2. What the service does
You record a spoken reply. Voicemo stores the audio and a transcript, adds a summary and key points on plans that include them, and serves the recording at a link you paste into an email. Whoever holds that link can play it in a browser, without an account and without installing anything.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple, through Clerk. You are responsible for what is done through your account and for keeping the device it is signed in on out of other hands. You must be at least 16. One person, one account.
4. Free and Pro
- Free covers recording, storing and sending. Recordings stop at 60 seconds and expire after 30 days.
- Pro adds recordings up to 10 minutes, server transcription, the summary and key points, open tracking, and an expiry you choose up to a year. The prices shown on the pricing page and at checkout are the ones that apply.
- Pro begins with seven days at no charge. Unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before those days are up, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown when you subscribed, and renews each period until cancelled. Apple allows one free period per subscription group per Apple ID, so switching between the monthly and the yearly plan does not start a second one.
- When a Pro plan ends, recordings already made keep the expiry they were given. Nothing is shortened retroactively.
- We may change what is in each plan, or introduce a charge for something that is free today. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and you are told before a renewal at a new price.
5. Payment
Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple takes the payment, handles renewals, collects the applicable tax and issues the receipt, under Apple’s terms rather than ours. We never see your card. Cancel in your Apple account settings, at least 24 hours before the next renewal; the plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for, or to the end of the free days if you are still in them.
6. Withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have 14 days from subscribing to withdraw without giving a reason, under article L221-18 of the French Code de la consommation.
Pro starts as soon as you subscribe. If you withdraw after using it, you may be asked to pay for the days already used, in proportion to the price, under article L221-25. Refunds on an App Store purchase are requested from Apple, which is the seller of record, at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you believe you are owed one, write to help@voicemo.app and we will take it up.
7. What you record stays yours
You keep every right in your audio and its text. You give us permission to store it, to send it to the providers named in the privacy policy for transcription and summarising, and to serve it to whoever opens the link, for as long as the recording lives. That permission exists to run the service and for nothing else. Nothing you record is used to train any model, ours or anybody else’s, and we claim no rights in what comes out.
You are responsible for having the right to record what you record. If another person can be heard, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to record them under the law where you are.
8. What a share link is
A share link is twelve random characters, and the short code is scoped to your address, so guessing at either is not a practical attack. It is still a link: anybody it is forwarded to can play the recording, and it carries no password. Treat it the way you would treat an attachment on the same email. Voicemo is not built for material that needs stricter handling than that, and it should not be used for health data, credentials, or anything else whose disclosure would be serious.
9. What you may not do
- Record a person without the consent the law where you are requires.
- Send anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or aimed at harassing the person who receives it.
- Use the service to distribute audio to the public at large. It is a reply to an email, not a broadcast host.
- Guess at links or codes, script the retrieval form, or work around the limits on either.
- Reverse engineer the service, disrupt it, or resell it under your own product without our written agreement.
An account that does any of this can be suspended or closed, and a recording that does can be taken down.
10. Transcripts and summaries can be wrong
Both are produced by machines from speech. They mishear names, they flatten sarcasm, and a summary is a reading of what you said rather than a record of it. Check them before you paste. We give no warranty as to their accuracy or their fitness for any particular purpose, and the audio is the thing you actually sent.
11. Expiry is a deletion
When a recording expires, the audio, the transcript, the summary and the key points are deleted outright. They cannot be recovered, by you or by us, and the link stops working. That is the product working as described, not a fault, and it is not a backup service. If you need to keep a recording, keep your own copy before it goes.
12. Availability
The service is provided as it is and as it is available. We aim to keep it up and to keep your recordings intact for as long as they are meant to live, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change or withdraw a feature. Where a change materially affects what you are paying for, you are told before it takes effect.
13. Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, or anything else French law does not allow to be limited, and nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost business or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it.
14. Ending it
You can delete your account in the app at any time, which deletes every recording under it. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law stops us.
15. Law, and what to do if something goes wrong
French law governs this agreement. If you are a consumer, that does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
Write to help@voicemo.app first. Most things end there. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator.
16. Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A material change is sent to the address on your account before it takes effect, and using the service afterwards is acceptance of it.
